Info

Groupthink is a phenomenon that got started by author Irving Janis who found that breakdowns in group decision making occurred in some of the bigger disasters of the 20th century (examples include Pearl Harbor, Korean War,  and Bay of Pigs invasion with more in recent history believed to be present with the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, 9/11 and the 2003 invasion of Iraq).  Purpose is to identify common factors with groupthink and to avoid them.  Biggest point is using critical thinking of any decision as a group as much as possible.
