In this inspiring STEAM camp, kids will explore the bold work of trailblazing artists like Frida Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, Alma Thomas, Faith Ringgold, and Kara Walker through hands-on projects that blend art, science, and design. Students will create artworks inspired by contemporary women visual artists using tempera and watercolor paint, oil pastels, and other mixed media. From vibrant paintings to storytelling quilts and silhouette art, campers will discover the power of self-expression and the stories behind the women who helped shape the art world.
